is looking for an organised, self-motivated and proactive Housing Support Officer, at our brand-new Care Village,
Redkite Meadows, Meadowsweet Place
, in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.
Meadowsweet Place is a brand-new, purpose-built senior assisted living complex with a total 88, 1 and 2 bed apartments within Red Kite Meadows, a state-of-the-art care village. Developed in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council, this service is set to launch in early 2026.

Duties and responsibilities
To provide professional and efficient support to tenants.
Empower tenants to achieve personal, social and economic success.
Work with the Care is Central Care team onsite to ensure the tenants' safety, care and social needs are met.
Liaise and build strong relationships with the Central Beds Council Housing team for tenancy support.
Complete daily tenant welfare checks ensuring use of the wellbeing alarm system operating within the premises.
Provide guidance and support to tenants, signposting to services provided by Central Beds Council as required.
Coordinate moving tenants into the property alongside the Central Beds Council lettings team.
Provide an introductory session for new tenants as they move into the property.
Report safeguarding concerns inline with established procedures for all tenants on site, collaboration with relevant statutory agencies and attending operational partnership meetings, facilitating ongoing support.
Record and update Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans for all tenants within Meadowsweet Place, taking into consideration any changes in circumstances
Support Facilities management in emergency situations to ensure alternative accommodation is provided either within the premises or through the local councils housing solution service.
Coordinate with the councils lettings team following tenancy sign-ups and complete an introductory session with them.
Complete appropriate referrals to housing providers relating to rent, anti-social behavior, neighbor complaints and support needs.
Provide mediation in 'low level' neighbor disputes and assist in enforcing tenancy agreements with the collaboration of the local council.
Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and available to senior management team and Central Beds Council Housing team as required.
Arrange use of the communal space for the Local Council as requested to facilitate tenant involvement activities supporting tenants to attend.
Distribute communications from Central Beds Housing Team and Care is Central as required to tenants.
Support tenants to report repairs and referrals for aids and adaptations.
Monitor and Inspect furniture within communal areas for safety
Extensive knowledge of Housing Regulations, ensuring familiarity with emerging legislation and best practice.
Regulation and Legislation
Ensure mandatory training is up to date.
Comply with Housing CIC policies and National Housing legislation.
Adhere to the local safeguarding policy and follow the Duty of Candor requirements.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at work Regulations
About the Hours, Pay & Conditions:
This is a full time (40 hours) and permanent position.
Standard working hours for this role are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
We offer a competitive rate of pay for this position of 13.00 - 13.20 per hour
