Job Description

Are you organised, people focused, and passionate about creating a great employee experience? We're looking for a proactive team member to support the smooth running of our Human Resources and Learning & Development functions. In this varied role, you'll play a key part in onboarding new starters, coordinating training, managing vetting processes, and handling day to day HR administration while ensuring compliance and helping foster a positive, supportive workplace culture.

What you will be doing



HR Administration:

Maintain and update employee records in the HR system. Prepare HR documentation including contracts, letters, and reports. Support with absence management, holiday tracking, and HR metrics. Respond to employee queries and escalate where necessary.
Onboarding & Vetting:

Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including welcome communications, induction scheduling, and system access. Conduct pre-employment checks including right-to-work verification, reference checks, and DBS (if applicable). Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed and filed appropriately. Liaise with hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new starters.
Learning & Development:

Schedule and coordinate internal and external training sessions. Maintain training records and monitor compliance with mandatory training. Support the development and delivery of L&D initiatives and materials. Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and gathering feedback.
General Support:

Assist with HR projects and initiatives as required. Support employee engagement activities and internal communications. Ensure confidentiality and data protection compliance in all HR activities.

What you will need for the role



Essential:



Previous experience in an HR or L&D administrative role. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Desirable:



CIPD Level 3 or working towards. Experience with onboarding and vetting processes. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
