Job Description

We're recruiting a HR Administrator to be based at out Skipton site. The role will provide effective HR Administration and support the HR consultant to provide full, professional, efficient and effective support to the Management teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Update policies and procedures when necessary

Deal with first line queries from management and staff

Processing leavers

Administration, maintenance and training of the Time and Attendance software system, Act In Time Connected.

Administration of letters for disciplinary, grievance and performance matters. Take notes when needed.

Take notes and assist managers in the preparation for absence reviews

Complete necessary administration to assist with payroll including timesheet reporting with managers and daily lateness/sickness data entry and keeping payroll log up to date monthly.

Keep track of zero hours workers, calculating holiday accrual etc

Review flexible working requests

Liaise with recruitment agencies for occasional agency staff

Prepare necessary paperwork/payroll schedule and administration for maternity meetings

Administration to support the reward strategy implementation

Administration to support the apprentices prepare the quarterly newsletter

Support with the writing of, and sending out of the employee satisfaction survey

Work closely with H&S, coordinating inductions, training and occupational health

Post job adverts and manage applications and coordinate interviews where needed

Coordinate the appointment process for successful applicants

Support managers to manage a probation plan for each new employee

Keep records of right to work checks including sponsorship visa applications

Assist in the administration of annual appraisals

HR section of team briefs

Prepare letters for annual national minimum wage increases

Create an implement an induction for all employees

Administration of offer letters

Administration of contracts for new employees

First point of contact for apprenticeship tutors

Issue contract change letters

Prepare the HR section for external audits when required

Provide reports on HR metrics when required

Update HR records when required

Maintain electronic (and paper files)

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Essential Criteria



Proven experience working in an HR administrative or HR assistant role. Good understanding of HR processes, policies, and employment law fundamentals. Experience maintaining HR databases and HR systems (experience with Act In Time Connectedor other time and attendance software is an advantage). Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident in handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting letters and reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfortable learning new systems. Experience supporting payroll processes through data collation and reporting. Ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage multiple deadlines. Comfortable liaising with employees, managers, and external partners such as recruitment agencies and training providers. Ability to take accurate minutes and notes during meetings (e.g., disciplinaries, absence reviews, appraisals).

Desirable criteria



CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience. Knowledge of right to work and sponsorship processes. Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes. Familiarity with coordinating training, induction, and employee engagement initiatives. Previous experience supporting health & safety or occupational health processes.

JOB DETAILS



25 hours per week (flexible on arrangement, to be agreed at offer stage)



Site based role, no remote working available



Salary based on experience
