Do you have a passion for making a difference in the child care sector? We are is seeking an experienced HR Advisor CIPD Level 3 (or above) to join our growing team and support our mission of providing exceptional care for young people.
This is an onsite, varied, and hands-on generalist role where you will advise on HR functions across residential young people's homes. Dealing with complex employee relations cases to safer recruitment, onboarding, and supporting strategic people initiatives. You'll work closely with managers and staff, becoming a trusted point of contact. You will need to have knowledge of safeguarding and experience of working in regulated environment.
You will need to feel confident making informed decisions, prioritising effectively, and providing accurate, timely HR advice to support our teams across multiple locations.
What you'll be doing:
Providing expert advice and support on employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters
Leading end-to-end recruitment processes following safer recruitment practices and DBS procedures.
Delivering a welcoming and professional onboarding experience to ensure new team members feel supported and aligned with our ethos from day one.
Maintaining training records and mandatory registers
Advising managers and staff on employment legislation, policies, and safeguarding responsibilities
Supporting and implementing HR initiatives aligned with our strategic goals
Maintaining accurate and confidential HR documentation and records
Supporting workforce planning and helping develop future talent pipelines
Proven ability to manage and update HR systems, with an emphasis on precise data entry and efficient problem-solving.
Proficient in Microsoft office packages, excel, teams and word.
What we're looking for:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a generalist HR advisor role
Experience in the early years, or care sector - or strong understanding of safeguarding in regulated settings (OFSTED, LADO) - is highly desirable
CIPD Level 3 (or above) qualification
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and proven ability to manage employee relations cases independently
Recruitment experience at multiple levels, including proactive talent sourcing and headhunting
Confidence and experience in delivering effective onboarding and induction processes
A proactive, positive approach with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-trust environment -- making decisions, managing a varied workload, and offering accurate, timely advice with minimal supervision
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business
