Based in three locations across the UK and priding itself on its values-driven and fun culture, the business offers genuine opportunities for personal development.The Role The HR department is expanding and are looking to recruit an HR Advisor to join their team of 10. The position will report into the HR Business Partner and will support them in providing a proactive and commercial HR service to designated business areas and ensuring delivery of the People Plan.Responsibilities will include:? Providing advice and guidance to Line Managers and employees on all HR issues to ensure effective resolution in line with policy and best practice? Working with Line Managers on disciplinary and grievance cases to ensure they are conducted to best practice guidelines and policy? Advising on best recruitment practice and liaising with the HR Assistants providing recruitment administration support? Undertaking day to day administration duties such as changes to terms and conditions, contract changes, monitoring probation periods, appraisal review letters, training course letters etc.? Maintaining the HR system, ensuring it is up to date and accurate at all times? Managing the administration of Occupational Health/PHI process, long term sick and absence monitoring? Administration of all family friendly policies including maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, parental leave, and adoption leave? Managing part time holiday pay calculations? Carrying out exit interviews? Providing references (all types)? Developing and maintaining effective relationships with payroll? Carrying out administration tasks as required? Supporting with ad hoc project workThe Person? CIPD qualification preferred? 3 years experience of working within an HR department? Experience of providing advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures? Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice? Ability to prioritise a busy workload to meet competing deadlines? Customer service focused? Experience of using HR databases to maintain electronic records? Ability to work in a team and a flexible approach? Confident in dealing wit people at all levels? Strong communication skillsThe Salary24,000 - 26,000The Benefits24 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday, pension (5% employee. 4% employer) and income protectionHours ? Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm?
