Job Advert Description
We have an exciting development opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team on a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave from April 2026.
The role will require you to deliver a professional HR Service within a policing environment with precision and passion, in which you will be supported, whilst working as part of a proactive and friendly HR team. You will provide clear, consistent and outcome focussed advice, guidance, support and coaching to managers on a comprehensive range of HR activities, in line with agreed policies and procedures, best practice, professional standards, and legal requirements.
MINUMUM CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:
Educated to CIPD level 5 (Associate Member) or able to demonstrate equivalent, relevant professional knowledge. Evidence of CPD commensurate with Associate level. Excellent working knowledge of employment law and key HR policies and procedures, and be able to demonstrate application of this knowledge, together with evidence of CPD commensurate with Associate level. Significant previous experience within a HR function. Experience in the collation, analysis and evaluation of people data and information. Good grounding in and working knowledge of HR process, policies and employment law. Understanding of internal information sources, systems and processes. Experience of research to provide robust proposals for improvement and/or change.
