Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Advisor to support HR functions and initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing employee relations, maintaining HR systems, and ensuring compliance with employment policies. As a HR Advisor, you will be responsible for:
Provide proactive HR support to the Group HR Director and wider business, managing people processes across the employee life cycle. Act as the first point of contact for general employee relations matters and provide payroll cover during absence.
Handle first-line employee relations issues and advise managers on disciplinary, absence, and grievance matters.
Manage onboarding processes, HR induction content, and HRIS data accuracy.
Produce HR and operational reports using the HRIS.
Manage TUPE transfers end to end, liaising with employees and suppliers.
Deliver short training sessions for line managers (e.g. absence management, investigations, workplace conduct).
Oversee apprenticeship levy activity, ensuring value and maximising funding.
Support recruitment, including job specs, adverts, and ATS management.
Conduct welcome interviews and coordinate the induction process.
Ensure GDPR compliance across all HR systems and processes.
Provide cross-cover for payroll during annual leave and absence.
Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the HR function.
The ideal candidate will be:
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
2-3 years' HR generalist experience, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
Confident delivering training and engaging with stakeholders.
Knowledge of Moorepay HRIS and ATS systems desirable.
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the North of England.
