This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced generalist People Advisor looking to develop their career in joining our well established and highly successful multi-faceted company. With a diverse workforce across a variety of disciplines, responsibilities within this People Advisory role will include:

Key Duties



Support the deliverance of the Business' strategies on employee engagement, learning and development Overseeing the HR Administration function Providing administrative support to and collaborating with Line Managers in regard of recruitment Managing the payroll - Preparing the weekly and monthly payrolls for 3 companies Uploading the pension into the pension providers portal Supporting and advising Line Managers on employee relations issues, employment law, people & performance management, best practice, internal policies and procedures Advising and supporting Managers on disciplinary and grievance issues, ensuring such are suitably handled and recorded Be the "Super-user" in respect of our HR management system Ensure HR policies and processes are continuously reviewed and updated, implementing change as and when appropriate Review and update terms and conditions of employment, ensuring consistency within all contracts Oversee the control of the company's PPE requirements Liaising with outsourced HR Specialists as and when the need arises

Main tasks and responsibilities



Monitor, review, update and support recruitment requirements, ensuring vacancy postings are approved, clear, accurate and up to date. Initial screening of applicants, schedule interviews, maintain up to date candidate information Absence management including back to work interviews Carry out new starter inductions and exit interviews for leavers Preparation of monthly reports, analysing trends, keeping the Board abreast of progress against KPIs Support the "Training , Learning and Development" strategy, seeking grants and funding where appropriate, maintain records Update and maintain personnel files Ensure employee appraisals are carried out by Line Managers and recorded in line with company policy Assist in ensuring GDPR compliance.

Person Specification



Being a "people" person, reporting to the SHEQ Manager the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate and display the experience, skills and attributes generally expected from such a position, including :

Minimum of 2 years' experience within a HR environment Either qualified by experience or working towards CIPD Level 5, for which support will be given Experience of working in a team environment Experienced in working with line managers providing advice, guidance, support and coaching on a wide range of HR and people issues Experienced in absence and attendance management Effective communicator building strong working relationships across all levels of a business Ability to maintain confidentiality Self-sufficient and adaptable with the ability to manage own workload and priorities Open and encouraging working style with the experience of creating an approachable and supportive People function Possess a clean driving licence Possess a positive, confident and friendly demeanour.
