About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality HR service supporting HR functions, ensuring efficient management of employee data, and fostering effective communication across departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in human resources and administrative processes to contribute to organisational success. The position is suitable for candidates with relevant experience or those seeking to develop their career within HR.

Duties



Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on policies, procedures, and UK employment law. Manage a range of employee relations cases, including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability matters Support and, where appropriate, lead investigations, hearings, and appeals Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation reviews, contract changes, and leavers Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements Support the review and implementation of HR policies and people practices Support recruitment and selection processes, including shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding Provide advice on safer recruitment practices relevant to healthcare, including pre-employment checks Support managers with performance management and development conversations Contribute to wellbeing initiatives and support a positive workplace culture Support HR projects such as engagement initiatives, policy updates, and service improvements Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and healthcare workforce best practice

Skills & Attributes



Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Confident, approachable, and able to build trusted relationships at all levels Excellent communication and listening skills Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Discreet, professional, and committed to confidentiality A genuine interest in supporting people

Experience



Proven experience in a generalist HR role Experience managing employee relations cases independently Experience supporting line managers with people management issues Previous experience in healthcare, NHS, social care, or a regulated environment is desirable but not essential Relevant HR qualification or equivalent practical experience

This role is subject to a DBS check at Enhanced Level.
