HR Advisor
Salary - 25,762 per annum (31,771 FTE)
30 hours per week - Monday to Friday (working 4 or 5 days per week)
The role
To deliver a proactive and customer-focused HR service across PML by providing effective support, guidance and advice to managers and staff members on HR matters, such as recruitment, L&D, policy and process, and the delivery of key projects.
Key deliverables
Acting as the first point of contact for employees, handling various enquiries from internal and external customers
Supporting employees at all stages of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit, providing feedback within the HR team and to Head of People and Culture as appropriate.
Leading on Learning and Development; Planning activity and coordinating campaigns/courses with the support of HR Advisor/s and in coordination with area lead. Providing advice and direction to managers and employees, reviewing and reporting successes and areas for improvement.
Delivery of ad hoc project work, for example EDI, engagement, apprenticeships, employee benefits improvements, benchmarking etc. either working individually or in collaboration with other HR team members.
Coordinating and supporting with all administrative duties on selected committee meetings.
Accurately maintaining, updating and developing HRIS (CIPHR & iRecruit).
Actively engaging with colleagues to proactively deal with matters/issues/concerns/queries offering support & guidance where needed.
Monitoring & reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are suitable, relevant and in line with current legislation.
Support the Operations HR manager as required with occasional casework, including capability, grievance and disciplinary
Advise employees and candidates on visa pathway options, complete visa applications on the UKVI sponsorship management system, and maintain compliance with UK immigration law.
Person Specification
2 or more years' experience (preferred)
CIPD Level 3 (desirable)
Experience in a broad range of Human Resources activities (essential)
Administrative experience (essential)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (essential)
Experience using HR databases (CIPHR desirable)
Attention to detail (essential)
Use of initiative (essential)
Experience of Learning & Development (essential), Wellbeing and Inclusion and payroll administration (desirable)
Effective written and verbal communication skills (essential)
Reasonable flexibility (essential)
