Job Description


We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join our Schools & Business Team in delivering a fantastic HR service to our schools \xe2\x80\x93 is this you? You will also be supporting colleagues in the delivery and administration of service level agreements, job evaluation and agency worker processes. Knowledge of both teachers and public sector pay & conditions will help you in guiding schools through their organisational change and TUPE processes throughout the academic year. If you also have experience of Job Evaluation schemes and providing HR services to schools, then this can only be a positive in our eyes! Knowledge of enhancing Service Level Agreements and developing a HR traded service would also be a benefit, as we look to continuously improve our services to our schools and partners. You will also be working with senior leaders and trade union colleagues within your role, so prior experience of representing HR in meetings with customers and stakeholders will be an advantage. Finally, you will be overseeing the work and delivery of colleagues within the team as their immediate line manager, whilst also providing high level advice across the HR service. So previous management experience would be beneficial. Essential requirements:

  • Educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent relevant qualification plus significant relevant HR experience.
  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation and its application in a large and diverse workforce.
  • Experience of working with customers to deliver pragmatic solutions to complex workforce issues.
  • Ability to provide supportive leadership to motivate and develop people and teams.
