Overview of Role



We are seeking an experienced

HR Advisor

to deliver a commercially focused, proactive, and flexible HR service across our site. You will provide relevant and appropriate HR support to managers while driving best practice and ensuring compliance with company procedures and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities



Act as the first point of contact for HR advice, supporting operational managers on absence, conduct, capability, grievance, and recruitment matters. Guide managers through employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with internal policies, employment law, and best practice. Lead and manage all absence-related casework, including long-term sickness, facilitating review meetings and timely resolution. Oversee recruitment for factory-based staff and coordinate non-factory recruitment through to completion. Ensure effective training and succession planning for key roles. Manage and continuously improve the employee induction process. Drive the Performance Development Process across all managers. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data in line with GDPR. Ensure policies and procedures comply with employment legislation and food industry standards (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP). Prepare HR metrics and reports to support continuous improvement. Support the Group HR Director with salary reviews and market benchmarking. Stay up to date with employment law and HR best practices, sharing knowledge to enhance service delivery. Lead or assist with HR projects as required.

Key Skills & Qualifications



Degree level and CIPD qualified to Level 5 or above. Minimum 3 years' generalist HR experience within a manufacturing or retail environment. Strong knowledge and practical application of employment law. Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
