Role Overview



The HR and Business Support Assistant is essential to our cohesive HR team, ensuring the seamless operation of our offices both remotely and in Market Harborough. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and is passionate about creating a welcoming and efficient workplace. Full on the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities



HR



Maintain HR records, assist with payroll and benefits administration using third-party services. Support recruitment coordination, including interview scheduling and candidate correspondence. Assist and coordinate onboarding and offboarding employees as and when required. Assist the VP, HR with ad hoc projects such as employee engagement initiatives.

Business Support



Arrange travel, hotel and venue bookings in line with company policy as and when needed. Manage light reception duties, access control, and courier logistics. Liaise with landlords and third-party contractors (e.g., cleaners, engineers) to maintain office standards in Market Harborough. Monitor and order office supplies in coordination with Finance. Ensure Health & Safety compliance in collaboration with the VP, HR.
You will be required to perform additional duties or responsibilities, which fall reasonably within the remit of the role.

Essential Requirements



Proven experience in office management or HR administration working for an SME environment.

Desirable Requirements



First Aid and Fire Marshall qualified

Skills and Understanding



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information. Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment Ability to problem solve Ability to stay calm under pressure Ability to use own initiative and work independently. Ability to work in a team Competent in MS Office (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
