Job Description

The HR Assistant will provide essential support within the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. This role in the industrial/manufacturing industry requires excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Support the HR team with administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and processing documentation.
  • Liaison with the Client's Occupational Health Department to facilitate the review of Safety Critical Medical appointments for all employees where appropriate, including the checking of rosters and direct contact with the employee to ensure attendance at any appointments
  • Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including drafting job advertisements and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programmes to ensure a seamless start for new team members.
  • Respond to employee queries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organising training sessions and maintaining training records.
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to HR activities and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed.

A successful HR Assistant should have:
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources or similar administrative role within the industrial/manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment regulations.
