Role Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

HR Assistant

to support our recruitment and interview processes for staff within our children's residential care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in HR and recruitment, with a working knowledge of

Ofsted standards and regulations

in relation to children's residential services. This is a part-time role, perfect for a student looking to gain valuable HR and sector experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the recruitment process, including: Screening CVs and applications Shortlisting suitable candidates Scheduling and coordinating interviews Supporting interview panels and taking notes Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment documentation. Support compliance checks in line with safer recruitment and Ofsted standards. Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Assist in drafting job adverts and posting across various platforms. Provide administrative support to the HR function as required.

Requirements

Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree or qualification in

Human Resources, Social Care, Psychology, or a related field

. Strong organisational and communication skills. Knowledge of

Ofsted standards and children's residential care regulations

(essential). Interest in HR, recruitment, and compliance within the care sector. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Confident using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
