Job Summary
You will play a critical role in supporting managers and employees to deliver high-quality patient care through effective HR strategies. You will partner with clinical and non-clinical managers and senior managers to foster a culture of compassion, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement ensuring our workforce is engaged, supported and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
To support the HR Manager in administering the Human Resources function of the hospital.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative managers to align HR strategies with healthcare service goals.
Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, retention, talent development, and succession planning to ensure staffing levels support safe and effective patient care.
Support managers in building positive team cultures that reflect our core values of care, respect, and excellence.
Advise and coach managers on employee relations, performance management, wellbeing, and team effectiveness in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
Partner with centers of expertise (e.g., talent acquisition, learning & development, diversity & inclusion) to deliver people programs that meet the unique needs of healthcare workers.
Person Specification
The following specification represents the range of skills, abilities, and experiences etc. relevant to the position. Applicants are expected to meet the attributes that have been identified as essential.
Essential
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent in related subject field or an ability to demonstrate competence through experience
5+ years of progressive HR experience
Experience in processing HR activities (e.g. recruitment, contract etc. within deadlines)
Deep understanding of workforce challenges, including staffing, regulatory requirements and employee wellbeing
A clear understanding of data protection/confidentiality requirements
Competent in minute taking
Good knowledge of employment law/practice
Desirable
Previous experience in a Healthcare setting
