Role Purpose:
To provide a comprehensive HR service to the in line with company values and mission, driving a high-performance culture in line with procedures and employment law and other legal requirements. Implementing the right processes and practices to drive improved commercial performance and deliver exceptional quality outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert HR advice, guidance, supporting and coaching to managers. Supporting with complex ER issues.
Work with teams, managers and key stakeholders to help build organisation and people capability, and shape and implement effective people strategies and activities within the company.
Delivering training to managers, to support with their development.
Continuously develop strong relationships with stakeholders to promote the services of the HR function.
Enhance HR engagement and quality of subsequent HR output.
Maintain a clear understanding and provide up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates; developing HR policies in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice.
Co-ordinate talent management and succession planning processes in full alignment with policies, frameworks, guidelines and processes. Ensure identified talent is developed and succession risks are anticipated, diagnosing causes of staff turnover and implement interventions.
Provide ad-hoc support to the HR department to ensure the department achieves its strategic goals and KPIs.
Ensure that all training needs are systematically identified and delivered.
Provide quarterly reports to the Regional Operations Directors on HR metrics.
Ensure all areas of HR compliance are met, i.e. safer recruitment, performance conversations, appraisals etc.
Retain knowledge of employment law and legislation, keeping abreast of updates and continued professional development.
Monitor attrition rates and trends, providing analysis and commentary.
Assist with the development of strategies to enable staff to remain engaged through periods of change including acquisitions and restructures.
Support the Head of HR with developing an effective HR service, leading on projects as directed and providing cover for absence.
Line Management of 2 HR Advisors and 1 Administrator.
