PURPOSE OF THE JOB



Act as a strategic partner to the business and leadership team, shaping a culture where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to perform at their best. You'll drive forward-thinking HR initiatives that empower employees, strengthen engagement, and unlock potential, fuelling both individual growth and organisational success.


Responsibilities:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead and contribute to transformative strategic projects with focus on employee engagement, cultural evolution and talent development Manage and influence the development of HR policies in line with both legislative changes and cultural evolution and lead on the implementation Partner with the business to provide strategic advice and guidance on day-to-day employee relations matters as well as long term purposeful solutions. Work with our unions on a range of matters to develop a positive employee working environment. Coach and support First Line and Senior Managers in all HR related matters Support management in the execution of the disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with Company policy and legislative requirements. Monitor sickness absence trends and use data driven insights to support and design return to work plans for employees in order to improve attendance levels, employee engagement and output. Deliver tactical workforce planning activities including hiring plans, onboarding of labour and global working parties. Manage intentional updates to HR systems.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Be CIPD qualified and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a generalist Human Resources role.
ORLesser qualified candidates with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a generalist Human Resources role.
ANDKnowledge of relevant employment legislation (In particular within Northern Ireland). High level presentation and influencing skills. Working knowledge of HR software and systems. Proficient IT Literacy (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Experience of handling complex employee relations issues such as discipline and grievance, absence management and performance management. A professional qualification in a Business or Human Resources related discipline. A sound knowledge of SAP HR. Experience in a Manufacturing and/or unionised organization.
