Strategic HR Business Partner

to shape the future of our people agenda, contributing to talent initiatives across the business while also driving focused HR activation within our Finance and Legal function.



This is more than a business partner role, it's a real opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change, champion performance culture, and help senior leaders unlock the full potential of their teams in a fast-moving, values-driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a trusted advisor to our senior leadership teams, you'll:

Turn strategy into action

: Partner closely with Finance and Legal leaders to align people strategies with business priorities, using your insight to guide workforce planning, capability building, and cultural transformation.

Grow leadership capability

: Coach senior stakeholders to drive engagement, performance, and succession through meaningful conversations and targeted development plans.

Champion talent mobility

: Activate internal career pathways and succession plans to nurture and retain key talent across critical talent pools.

Drive cross-functional delivery

: Collaborate with Resourcing, L&D, and DE&I teams to embed talent and performance programmes that make a measurable difference.

Leverage tech and data

: Support the rollout of people technology, support the development of talent KPI's and use insights to inform decision-making and action planning.

What You'll Bring:

Proven HR Business Partnering or talent experience within a mid-to-large matrixed organisation. A strong grasp of performance management, succession planning, and internal mobility practices. Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating change with resilience and influence. Experience in designing and delivering strategic people initiatives that align to organisational goals. A data-savvy mindset, with familiarity using platforms like Workday or similar HRIS tools. Experience working in a retail or similarly dynamic, matrixed business is highly desirable. Exposure to Finance and/or Legal functions is desirable but not essential.

This is a

hybrid

role based in

Nuneaton

, with minimum 2 days a week in our head office locations and flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.
