Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
Deliver and lead the implementation of a site-wide People Plan.
Improve organisational capability through effective workforce planning and structure review.
Build positive employee relations and work collaboratively with the recognised union.
Provide expert advice to managers on policies, employment law, and best practices.
Analyse HR KPIs to identify trends and recommend actions.
Manage employee relations cases effectively, fairly, and with minimal business risk.
Support working time compliance aligned with ETI base code standards.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, including HR Generalists and Administrators.
Coach and mentor junior HR staff, supporting apprenticeships and career growth.
Set performance objectives and drive continuous improvement within the HR function.
Recruitment & Talent
Represent HR in all mid- to senior-level interviews.
Manage and improve the site's recruitment strategy.
Promote community engagement to attract local talent and future skills.
Employee Engagement
Drive employee engagement through initiatives like VOICE forums and Coffee Shop sessions.
Analyse and present employee feedback to the Senior Management Team.
Support site managers in building high-performing, collaborative teams.
General HR Support
Contribute to HR policy development in line with legislation.
Work with the Head of HR on strategic and ad hoc projects.
What We're Looking For
Minimum
2 years of HR experience
(preferably in food manufacturing or similar).
CIPD qualified
(Level 5 or above).
Strong knowledge of
employment law
and HR best practices.
Experience handling employee relations cases from start to resolution.
Confident in coaching and influencing senior stakeholders.
Strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills.
