About the Role
Based as a hybrid role (with travel to Milton Keynes and London), this 12 month FTC HR Business Partner role sits in the global People Operations team, reporting to the Chief People Officer and will deliver people partnering for our UK business.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations &
Compliance
Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including performance, long-term absence, investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries.
Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation (including TUPE) and UK GDPR/Data Protection Act, escalating legal risks to the internal Legal Counsel as required.
Keep HR policies up to date and deliver manager training to align with UK employment law changes and best practice.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
Support compensation and benefits activities, including job evaluation, benchmarking, salary reviews, promotions, and benefits administration, in partnership with external providers.
Support the UK People Partner to manage accurate and timely monthly payroll reporting; reconcile variances and oversee approval processes.
HRIS and
Data Analytics
Maintain high-quality HRIS data and review data automation in HiBob
Use HR analytics to provide insights on headcount, attrition, diversity, engagement, and ER trends, recommending appropriate actions.
Coordinate workforce planning inputs (headcount, attrition, succession) with Finance and UK leaders, preparing regular updates and variance analyses.
People Partnering
Build trusted advisor relationships with leaders, managers, and employees across the UK.
Coach and mentor the People Partner, supporting their development and capability to manage some internal people processes
Partner with leaders to deliver change initiatives with clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and measurable success outcomes.
Talent Management
Support the development and implementation of career frameworks to promote growth, clarity, and consistency across roles.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure employment contracts for new hires are accurate.
Manage global mobility and immigration processes, guiding managers through requirements.
Support the HR Consultant with transformation and organisational change activities, people impacts, documentation, and communications.
Key Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in a People Partner / HR Business Partner or equivalent role with UK ideally within global People Operations teams and with technology sector experience.
Strong practical knowledge of UK employment practices and employment law, including TUPE and contemporary ER casework.
Operational fluency with modern HRIS (HiBob ideal) and payroll processes; high standards for data quality, controls and documentation.
Excellent judgment, written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills; able to simplify complexity and influence decisions.
Nice to haves:
Relevant HR qualification (e.g., CIPD or equivalent) is advantageous.
Evidence of continuous professional development in UK employment law / ER.
