Anderson Strathern is a modern, innovative law firm. We're proud of our history but firmly focussed on an exciting future, one that embraces technology and smarter ways of working. We're independent, and proudly so.
We never stop evolving, attracting original thinkers who don't - always - follow the pack.
The Role
Anderson Strathern's HR Plus service is a client focused service launched in March 2018, based within our Employment, Immigration & Pensions team. The HR Case Consultant will provide HR support to our commercial clients, supporting a portfolio of cases ensuring they are managed to a timely and appropriate conclusion. The role will focus principally on the management of cases which can be sensitive and at times complex in nature. You will act as the investigator or, occasionally, support managers in conducting investigations such as disciplinary, attendance, performance, grievance, and sickness absence. This is an opportunity for someone who is interested in further developing their career in HR or who simply wants to get involved in investigation work.
The role may also involve additional HR services as required by clients, including supporting the full range of internal meetings such as absence management and general HR work.
You will be assisting a variety of clients including larger industrial clients, local authorities, colleges and universities to small businesses with a handful of employees. There will also be opportunities to take part in business development activities, helping to grow the business.
The importance of solid team working will be imperative as there will be a need to work closely with our clients, our HR Business Partners and employment lawyers and, where appropriate, other colleagues in our full-service law firm.
While we envisage the role being part-time and are seeking an applicant able to work a minimum of 3 days a week, we are flexible and willing to consider applications for full-time employment. We are open to a flexible working arrangement.
