Job Description

Ashtead Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team in Westhill.



As HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless HR services centre model through close partnership with HR specialist functions, including Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development. You will ensure that day-to-day HR operations run smoothly while supporting wider initiatives that enhance our workplace culture.



This is a varied position that combines administration, employee support, and project coordination - from guiding new starters through the onboarding process, maintaining accurate HR records to helping deliver programmes that engage and inspire our people.



Day to day you'll be involved in:



Maintaining and updating employee records in HR systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Preparing HR data for reports, dashboards, and presentations as required by leadership or stakeholders. Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes across the group, ensuring a smooth experience for new joiners and leavers. Tracking and managing probationary periods, ensuring timely reviews and accurate documentation. Managing the shared HR mailbox, responding promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Supporting HR Advisors in coordinating employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans. Assisting with absence management, including monitoring leave records and coordinating occupational health referrals when necessary. Contributing to ongoing HR projects, providing administrative and operational support as needed. Identifying and suggesting improvements to HR processes, systems, and ways of working to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Supporting policy reviews and updates, including drafting and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and associated documentation. Assisting with internal audits and HR compliance checks, preparing documentation and supporting audit processes. Coordinating employee engagement activities Supporting payroll and benefit administration, including liaising with payroll and benefits providers and resolving employee queries. Supporting coordination of internal communications on behalf of the HR Function.

You have previous experience working in an HR role, with familiarity of HR processes such as onboarding, compliance, and employee data management You can manage multiple HR processes and priorities with accuracy and efficiency. You are people focused, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, HR colleagues, and external partners. You have a passion for improving employee experience and operational excellence. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools. Experience supporting remote teams or working in a matrixed organisation is an advantage
