About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join Black Swan's innovative Trends business unit, where our mission is to ensure that our customers never miss a trend again. We are in hyper growth, looking for an experienced HR leader who can build relationships, bring structure to move us forward, but also pivot and change with the business demands. This role will be based in London (working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic) and sit within the global People team, reporting into the Chief People Officer and taking the lead on running the People agenda for Trends. It is a maternity contract with an initial 12 month term. The role is demanding, but extremely rewarding - building the people agenda and culture from the ground up. The team operates in a flexible way, and we are very open to flexible working patterns.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as strategic business partner for the Trends business:
  • Building relationships with leaders and employees; coaching, advising and challenging on all employment related issues
  • Reinforcing the credibility of the HR function within Trends
  • Responsibility for embedding solutions across recruitment, performance management, compensation, employee relations, leavers and engagement across the Trends business
  • Providing insights and support for the specialist functions (recruitment, L&D and people operations)
  • Delivery of people initiatives (communicating, advising, embedding, encouraging HR solutions)
  • Prioritising the Employee Experience for Trends, ensuring initiatives are in line with our culture and are delivered with positive impact for our employees at front of mind
  • Leadership of the Trends People Team (1x Tech Recruiter, 1x Culture & Engagement Manager):
  • Leading by example
  • Developing team (coaching, feedback, reviews, objectives)
  • Engagement scores of team
  • Day to day running of the people function
  • Support CPO with external meetings, setting culture, and aligning the team with the People Plan
Requirements:
  • Commensurate experience in an HRBP leadership role, preferably in a tech environment
  • Experience understanding organisational issues and effecting change
  • A proven collaborator, who enjoys working as part of a global team and jumping into issues as they come up
  • Someone who drives continuous improvement
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate HR and business strategies
  • Motivated by building and finding solutions
  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
  • Consulting, coaching and facilitation experience
  • Listening skills and ability to relate to, and coach employees of all levels in the organisation
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed, and flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
  • Experience working with internal recruitment functions.
