AWE is currently recruiting for a HR Generalist to play a key role in delivering efficient, people-focused HR support to a designated business area. Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, this role provides both administrative and advisory support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a responsive and customer-centric service that meets agreed service levels.
Location: This role will be based in Coulport and will be an onsite role with frequent travel to Aldermaston/Green Park that will be expensed by AWE.
Package: Starting from 37,300 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

As a HR Generalist, you will be working in close partnership with the Senior HR Business Partner for Assembly and Coulport, the People Services Partnering team and HR Teams the HR Generalist ensures that the People Programme is effectively tailored and embedded within the local working environment.
The role also acts as a conduit between the business and central HR teams, ensuring functional needs are communicated clearly and HR initiatives are implemented in a way that supports both operational effectiveness and a positive employee experience. As part of your role, you will:Deliver high-quality HR services and advice, ensuring a consistent, customer-focused experience aligned with SLAs. Act as primary HR contact for Coulport, building strong stakeholder relationships and providing tailored support. Manage site resourcing, maintain accurate workforce data, and resolve escalated issues with business leaders. Localise and embed central HR initiatives to ensure relevance and adoption. Share people data and insights to inform strategic workforce decisions. Support change initiatives and contribute to continuous HR service improvement. Promote compliance with health, safety, environment, security, and quality standards.

Who are we looking for?
We are ideally seeking an individual with previous experience working in a customer services environment delivering transactional tasks and providing first point of contact services. Experience within an HR function, delivering HR processes and using HR systems, working to SLAs and KPIs.
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Stakeholder engagement, influencing and management. Proactive and agile in thinking with good organisational skills. Solid knowledge of employment law and ER case management processes. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage own workload and priorities to agreed timescales. Working knowledge of HR information systems. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
