Position Overview
The People Generalist supports people compliance, performance management, process improvement projects, and people relations and is responsible for assisting the Senior People Partner\xe2\x80\x99s team with various People duties across the organization in the respective region. The People Generalist works collaboratively and can assist in more complex People duties. The People Generalist acts as an employee champion and change agent and will formulate partnerships across the People function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the organization\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives.

What You\'ll Do

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Guide and support hiring managers in conducting job analysis and preparing job descriptions.
  • Work closely with People Partners on executing Piano\xc2\xb4s Talent Aquisition Strategy and supporting business\xc2\xb4staffing needs
  • Design or update job descriptions as needed.
  • Preparation offer letters or employment contracts, benefits enrollment, new hire paperwork, etc.
  • Guide and support hiring managers in designing onboarding plans and working with them in managing and tracking the onboarding process.
  • Act as subject matter expert and facilitate People sessions during onboarding.

  • Act as Benefits Administrator: enroll and terminate employees in the system, process payment of monthly premiums, respond to employee questions regarding payroll and benefits, coordinate vendor contract renewal and open enrollment, liaise with benefits vendors, etc.
  • Assist in updating compensation and classification structure.
  • Talent Management and Development
  • Support and guide managers in managing staff performance (e.g., setting clear expectations, recognizing good work, documenting and addressing performance issues, etc.).
  • Provide support and guidance during the annual performance review.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly People reports (i.e., turnover and retention metrics, new hires, leave reports, etc.)
  • Coordinate staff offboarding, including exit interviews, handoffs, etc.
  • Coach managers and staff on creating positive working relationships and supporting employee relations
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and rollout of succession planning, employee development, and mentoring programs.
  • Compliance and Employment legislation
  • Coordinate payroll, hiring, onboarding, and People management of staff hired through Global Employer Organizations (GEOs) or Employers-of-Record (EOR) and direct hires.
  • Review or create People policies and procedures, ensuring they are: (a) in compliance with applicable employment laws and (b) consistently applied.
  • Provide People policy guidance and interpretation to managers
  • Act as subject matter expert and respond to the \xe2\x80\x9cHR Inbox\xe2\x80\x9d questions/queries
  • Maintain people records and personnel files.

  • Act as a local expert to support Senior People Partners
  • Manage and maintain People IS (Bamboo People)

  • Coordinate People Function projects and perform other tasks assigned.
  • Assist People Function with various projects as needed
Skills You Have
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably in human resources, psychology, or other business-related disciplines such as management or operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience, ideally in Employee Relations, People Administration, Compensation, Benefits, Leaves of Absence/Interactive Process/Work Accommodation, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience with Latin America\xc2\xb4s labor regulations is a plus
  • Demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, and sound judgment
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and to accomplish job duties in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Facility with productivity tools (MS, Apple, Google)
  • Microsoft Office intermediate knowledge required (advanced is preferred)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus
Scope
  • Position type: Full-time
