Are you a dynamic HR leader with a passion for operational excellence and inclusive culture? We're excited to be recruiting for an HR Manager (internally titled People & Business Support Manager) to join our high-performing team in Altrincham, South Manchester.

Working closely with the People Director, this is a pivotal role responsible for leading and managing our People shared services function, while also acting as a trusted HR business partner. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our people operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our wider business goals, all while maintaining a hands-on approach.

A brief snapshot of the role:



Lead the People & Business Support team to deliver high-quality services across the full employee lifecycle. Act as a strategic business partner to leaders across the organisation, supporting talent management, employee engagement, performance development, and workforce planning. Oversee all aspects of employee relations, HR compliance, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate on change management, DEI, wellbeing, and employee experience initiatives. Use data and workforce analytics to generate insights, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.

What we're looking for:



Proven experience in a HR Manager or shared services leadership role. Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, and employment law. Experience coaching and developing teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute hands-on and drive operational delivery. Proficient in HR systems, analytics, and continuous improvement practices.
Experience in an SME, engineering, or manufacturing environment and familiarity with BOB HRIS would be advantageous, but not essential.
