We are seeking an experienced
HR Manager
to lead our Employee Relations and Engagement function. This is a pivotal role where you will shape strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
As part of the College Leadership Team, you will:
Lead and inspire
a dedicated team, delivering high-quality HR services across the College.
Drive forward-thinking strategies on
employee relations
,
wellbeing and engagement
, aligned with our values and strategic plan.
Provide expert guidance on
employee relations
, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
Champion initiatives that promote
staff engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing
, creating a culture where everyone feels valued.
Collaborate with senior leaders and trade unions to build strong, constructive relationships.
In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources, develop and maintain competitive and clear pay and grading frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and market benchmarks.
What we're looking for:
Minimum level 5 CIPD
Level 2 maths and English qualifications or the equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above
Proven experience in
employee relations and engagement
at a senior level.
Strong knowledge of
employment law
, HR policies, and best practice.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
A passion for
wellbeing and engagement
with the ability to turn strategy into action.
