Are you a confident and experienced HR and Payroll professional ready for your next challenge? My client, a leading organisation with a strong commitment to its people and culture, is looking for a dedicated HR Manager to join their team at their Hawick/Jedburgh site.

This is a standalone role offering plenty of scope and responsibility, with support from a collaborative site leadership team. You'll be the go-to person for all HR and payroll matters on site--playing a vital part in keeping things running smoothly and ensuring employees receive the support they need.

What You'll Be Doing:



Acting as the main point of contact for all HR and payroll queries Delivering a full range of HR services while ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies Managing employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations Supporting managers with recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning Ensuring employee data and records are kept accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with GDPR Administering payroll, benefits, and resolving employee payroll queries Creating reports on key HR metrics such as absence, turnover, and engagement Supporting training, development, and culture initiatives Leading wellbeing activities and contributing to a positive workplace culture Championing health, safety, and wellbeing as part of everyday operations

What They're Looking For:



A strong HR generalist background, ideally with payroll experience Proven ability to work independently while building trusted relationships across all levels A solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices Experience handling sensitive HR matters with professionalism and confidentiality Comfortable managing multiple tasks with strong organisational and time-management skills Someone proactive and solutions-focused, always looking to improve processes and support people

Desirable Experience:



Previous experience in an HR Manager, Payroll Manager, or HR Officer role CIPD qualification (preferred but not essential) Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems Experience handling end-to-end recruitment and employee relations Training in Mental Health First Aid or wellbeing is a plus Data Protection Officer knowledge or experience

Pay: 28,000.00-45,000.00 per year
