HR Manager

to oversee all aspects of human resources across the firm.

Role Overview:


As the HR Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the people strategy of the firm. This role requires a proactive, organised, and solutions-focused professional who can handle the full spectrum of HR responsibilities while ensuring compliance with employment law and supporting the needs of a fast-paced legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation in line with current legislation Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and staff on employee relations matters Handle performance management, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management cases Support training and development initiatives across all departments Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases Coordinate annual leave, staff holidays, and absences Ensure legal compliance with employment legislation and regulatory standards Oversee employee engagement, retention, and well-being strategies Assist in payroll input and liaise with finance regarding HR-related data Organise regular appraisals, probation reviews, and feedback sessions Act as a point of contact for external HR bodies and training providers

Requirements:



Proven HR management experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Confident in handling sensitive matters with discretion Experience using HR systems or platforms (e.g. BrightHR, Breathe, SafeHR) Ability to work independently and within a team
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
