Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to support our small group of nurseries. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. This role requires strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with various platforms and systems. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting organisational growth.

This role is all year through working between 30 to 40 hours a week

Duties



Develop, implement, and oversee HR policies and procedures aligned with organisational goals. Manage recruitment processes using various platforms to attract top talent. Support the management, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. New Staff Onboarding - following standard procedures to onboard candidates from point of shortlisting, completing safer recruitment checks, references and enhanced DBS checks before the candidates start at our nurseries. Analyse HR data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and improve organisational effectiveness. Conduct regular reviews of HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft and Workday for data accuracy and system optimisation. Facilitate employee relations by addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment. Prepare and deliver presentations on HR initiatives to senior management and staff. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies through regular audits. Lead diversity and inclusion programmes to foster an equitable workplace culture. We are recruiting for an Admin and Human Resources Officer for supporting our group of small nurseries. The person will be responsible for general administration & HR tasks including to ensure that we hire the right staff and have high staff retention at our nurseries. Monthly Payroll - monthly task of consolidating the holidays, absences and clocked hours for staff. Inputing and calculations in respect of completing monthly pay on quickbooks accurately. Pensions Submissions - timely and accurate submissions and reconciliation for Nest Pensions as per the completed monthly pay runs. Monitor annual leave allowance and complete regular audits Memberships management - staff enrolled to the company's health care plan and discount schemes. Record Keeping - Ensuring that accurate records for staff are maintained digitally and in a staff central record summary on Google suit. Complete regular audits for staff training needs Additionally completing periodic suitability checks for all staff every 6 months.
We need someone who has a keen focus on details and completing things to a high level of accuracy. The person should be good with numbers and experienced in HR related calculations on Leave balances, Statutory Sick Pay, Final pay calculations. The person should have experience working on online systems like Quickbooks, and adobe sign.

The role on HR Administration will require ensuring timely search of suitable vacancies and assist in arranging for interviews for manager, safer recruitment, and successful onboarding of staff as per the process and procedures of the company. Further ensure periodic update and audits on the staff central records maintained for each of the nurseries.

Experience



Proven management experience within human resources, including supervising teams. Extensive knowledge of human resources practices, employment law, and organisational development. Strong data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, problem-solving, and organisational change management. Previous experience in developing training programmes and employee engagement initiatives is desirable. Pay: 21,060.00-32,240.00 per year
