What You'll Be Doing
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the HR function within a global leader in renewable energy systems, during an exciting period of positive change and growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director - UK & Europe, you'll support all areas of the business including colleagues in the UK, Europe and Australia whilst we build out our global HR team.
Key Accountabilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across the business.
Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems for the UK, Europe and Australia.
Manage payroll, absence monitoring, and employee records in compliance with GDPR.
Manage day-to-day HR administration including contracts, absence management, and employee records.
Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing to onboarding and company induction.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and company culture.
Oversee workforce planning, ensuring the business has the right talent in place to achieve its goals.
Manage employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with employment law, staying updated on legislative changes.
Oversee and advise on complex HR issues to mitigate risk to the business.
Design and deliver training sessions to enhance line managers' skills in people management and promote best HR practices across the business.
Working in collaboration with our Technical L&D Manager, you'll develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.
Implement effective performance review frameworks to monitor and improve employee performance.
Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits strategies.
Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a welcoming and fair working environment.
Lead internal communications to keep employees informed, engaged, and motivated.

Qualifications and Experience
CIPD Qualification - Level 5 qualified (or working towards Level 7)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a HR Manager or senior HR role.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Employee Relations - Including handling complex cases, ACAS, tribunals, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Involvement in international HR practices for global companies.
Proven track record in recruitment and talent acquisition.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in HR Systems and Software - Such as HRIS platforms, payroll systems, or applicant tracking systems (SenseHR or Zoho would be advantageous)
Desirable Skills/Experience
Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred, but not essential.
Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin would be a significant advantage for liaising with the wider HR team based in China and Singapore.
Previous experience working in small HR team in an SME or start-up environment.
Experience working in a manufacturing, renewable energy, or tech environment.
Involvement in international HR practices for global companies.
