HR Manager - Novello Chartered Surveyors
Reporting to - Chief Operating Officer
Role Summary
You will be responsible for leading the HR function and managing the employee lifecycle from induction through to exit.
You will ensure compliance with employment legislation, and maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Acting as a key point of contact for employees and management, you will be responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture while implementing effective people policies and procedures.
Role requirements
Manage all HR services across the business
Provide guidance and support to line managers on employee relations matters
Oversee the new candidate screening and onboarding
Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive employee induction programs for new starters
Ensure all pre-employment checks and documentation are completed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
Ensure all personnel files comply with data protection and employment legislation
Manage the absence tracking system and produce regular reports on attendance patterns
Review, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation
Communicate policy changes effectively to employees and managers
Ensure organisational compliance with employment law and best practice
Act as a trusted advisor on all HR matters, supporting both employees and management
Handle employee queries, concerns, and grievances in a timely and professional manner
The Successful Applicant
Previous experience in a HR/People related role (min 5 years)
Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and administrative tasks
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to liaise with employees and management
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and exercise sound judgement
A proactive and detail-orientated approach to work
The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From 30,000.00 per year
