Role Overview






Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as a HR Manager - People Change and Integration. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact by embedding newly transferred employees into the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) following a TUPE process. The postholder will work closely with managers and leaders to ensure a smooth transition, helping them understand and apply MaPS policies and procedures. The role will also provide ad hoc support to the wider HR advisory team, contributing to a positive employee experience and supporting business as usual activities.


You'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping people across the UK improve their financial wellbeing.




Key Responsibilities:






Post-Transfer Employee Integration




Support the effective integration of TUPE-transferred employees into MaPS, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed. Spend significant time with managers and leaders to coach, guide, and build their understanding of MaPS policies, procedures, and people management practices. Facilitate workshops, briefings, and one-to-one sessions to embed best practice and ensure consistency in application of HR policies. Act as a point of contact for managers and employees with queries about policies, processes, and the post-transfer environment.

Manager & Leader Support




Provide tailored coaching and mentoring to managers and leaders, building their capability to support their teams through change and ongoing operations. Identify knowledge or skills gaps and deliver or coordinate appropriate training or development interventions. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the management community.

Ad Hoc HR Advisory Support




Offer flexible, responsive support to other members of the HR advisory team as required, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing HR function. Assist with casework, employee relations, and other HR activities as needed.

Policy, Compliance & Best Practice




Ensure all advice and support is aligned with MaPS policies, employment law, and CIPD best practice. Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided and issues raised. Promote a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture.



You will need to demonstrate the following experience;





CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience; commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience supporting employee integration, change, or onboarding in a complex environment. Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies, and best practice. Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills. Ability to design and deliver engaging training and development sessions. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. High level of personal resilience, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels. Evidence of applying evidence-based HR practice and acting with integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality. Commitment to the CIPD Code of Professional Conduct and MaPS values.

Desirable




Chartered Member of CIPD (or working towards). Experience in the public or not-for-profit sector. Experience of working in a unionised environment

Flexible Working



At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
