We are a growing group of family-run businesses with operations in the unique world of Amphibious Tours and Marine Innovation. As we bring our HR operations in-house for the first time, we are seeking a skilled and experienced
HR Manager
to join our team and lead on all aspects of human resources and health & safety compliance. You'll play a vital role in shaping a positive culture across our small but dynamic teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of human resources across our group of companies
Lead the handover process from our current external HR consultancy to establish robust in-house practices
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company values
Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, absence management, and disciplinary matters
Handle full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
Ensure legal compliance with employment laws and update policies accordingly
Collaborate with leadership on organisational development, team building, and succession planning
Oversee implementation and maintenance of all
health & safety policies
, procedures, and risk assessments across sites
Maintain HR records, contracts, and reporting for compliance and audit readiness
Essential Requirements
Minimum of
5 years' experience
in a HR generalist or HR management role
Strong working background in
small business environments
Demonstrable experience implementing or managing health and safety procedures
Confident managing multi-site HR responsibilities
Excellent interpersonal skills with a hands-on, adaptable approach
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
Desirable Attributes
Experience in family-run or entrepreneurial organisations
Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, hospitality, or tourism
Familiarity with implementing new HR systems or software
