We are looking for a dedicated HR Officer to support the recruitment, compliance, and wellbeing of staff within our expanding care home. The role includes managing staff records, processing DBS checks, handling HR documentation, track right to work documentation and all the legal requirement and ensuring compliance with CQC and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle recruitment and onboarding of care staff
Maintain up-to-date employee files and training records
Manage DBS, right to work, and reference checks
Support with rota planning and staff communication
Assist with performance, absence, and HR-related queries
Ensure HR policies are followed in line with CQC standards
Support the disciplinary and grievance processes as needed
Requirements:
HR experience (preferably in care or healthcare)
Strong admin and communication skills
High attention to detail and organisation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR Software
Knowledge of safer recruitment and CQC compliance
CIPD Level 3 (desirable but not essential)
Qualifications
Proven experience in human resources or a related field is essential.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people.
