Do you want to help make a real difference to vulnerable young people's lives?
Common Thread provide education and residential care for young people aged 8 - 18 who have had challenging life experiences. We provide therapeutic care in small family-sized homes in 14 locations across Scotland supporting our young people to heal and grow. In addition, our two schools, in Lockerbie and Kilmarnock, provide a trauma-informed approach to supporting young people to develop their skills and interests and achieve their goals.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as an HR Officer.
By taking a lead on the recruitment process, from advertising to employment contracts, this role is key to ensuring we have the best people with the right skills and qualities across the organisation to care for our young people.

Our people are our greatest resource and together with the HR Manager and the Training Administrator, you will support the organisation to implement effective policies to attract, retain, motivate and develop talented and passionate individuals to support our young people on their journey to creating a better future for themselves.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and improving the recruitment and onboarding of new employees to meet current and future staffing needs.
Providing generalist HR guidance and support.
Driving the absence management process - supporting managers to deal with short- and long-term absence cases and reporting to identify trends.
