We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring the effective management of human resources processes. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. The HR Officer will be responsible for enhancing employee engagement and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Reporting to: HR Manager
Location: East Kilbride
Salary: Depending on experience - attractive package
Working Hours: 8.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 4pm Friday
Main Responsibilities
Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees throughout the business on all people related matters.
Provide support and advice on a full range of employee relations activities including onboarding, offboarding, probation, absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Employee data management.
Recruitment support - Posting job opportunities , Screening CV's and job applications, Scheduling interviews and coordinating hiring managers.
Onboarding - Preparing new employee paperwork, Assisting with new employee onboarding and inductions.
Performance management - Support the coordination and effectiveness of Personal Development Reviews across the business.
Provide support to SHEQ department on training requirements.
Promote and support employee wellbeing.
Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes.
Monitor, review and update HR policies and ensure these are in line with current legislation.
Support the payroll process.
Deliver administrative excellence.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience
CIPD or equivalent professional HR qualification.
Experience of operating in a suitable HR role.
Knowledge of UK employment legislation and application.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to be proactive, prioritise tasks, and work to deadlines.
Confident communicator with good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability and integrity to handle confidential information.
