Job Description

Working with and under the guidance of the HR Team Leader, assist in the provision of the Human Resources service for all staff at the Greenock home in accordance with current employment legislation.

Analyse time and attendance systems, prepare and input all data required for submission to the payroll bureau.

Plan and issue staffing rotas and organise cover for planned and unplanned absences, seeking assistance as required from the HR Team Leader.

To contribute to a positive employee experience within a setting which is committed to ongoing improvement providing the best care for the residents of our care home.

Working with the HR Team Leader, assist with organising the effective and timely recruitment of staff including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and making job offers.

Provision of relevant information for HR and Payroll Assistant to fulfil recruitment pre employment checks including PVG and occupational health. Deliver HR induction onboarding and support training administration as directed by the HR Team Leader.

Assist with preparation for disciplinary procedures, note taking at hearings and subsequent typing of minutes. Participation in investigations and develop the skills to take the lead in less complex grievances and disciplinary cases. Seeking advice from HR Team Leader as required.

Collate, issue and accurately maintain the full range of documents and records associated with the HR function.

Working with the HR Team Leader, discuss and meet with staff to maintain effective communication.

Be responsible for personal updating in current HR Practices and Procedures.

Undertake any ad hoc projects consistent with the level and nature of the post.

Participate in any relevant training in order to enhance the level service provided to employees.

Such other duties as may be reasonable asked in order to fulfil this post.

Must have or be willing to study for Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification.

Must have experience of working in an HR environment, knowledge of payroll, experience of recruitment and selection, Expert user MS Word and MS Excel. Must have awareness of relevant employment legislation and experience of supporting managers across a range of HR issues. Must have knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity practices.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 15.70 per hour
