Salary: 36,000 per annum dependent on skills & experience.

Role Purpose: The HR Officer is a business partner role in the organisation, responsible for delivering high-quality HR services that drive business performance and employee engagement. This role ensures compliance with employment legislation, fosters a positive workplace culture, and supports leadership in achieving business goals through effective people management and development strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide expert HR guidance and support to leadership and colleagues across the business.
Drive and implement HR initiatives that enhance organisational performance, talent management, and employee engagement.
Ensure HR policies and procedures align with employment law, business objectives, and best practices.
Lead on employee relations matters, offering operational advice and ensuring fair and effective resolutions.
Support workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding to attract and retain top talent.
Develop and oversee training and development programs to build organisational capability.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through HR analytics, reporting, and insights.
Key Activities:
As an HR Officer at Wildanet, you'll play a vital role in shaping our people strategy and supporting a positive, high-performing culture. You'll work closely with managers and colleagues across the business, with key activities including (but not limited to):
Workforce Planning:
Support strategic resourcing by analysing workforce trends, maintaining up-to-date org structures and job data, and collaborating with managers on short and long-term planning.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
Provide first-line advice on employee relations matters, ensuring fair resolution of issues. Champion engagement initiatives and support a positive, inclusive working environment.
HR Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure policies, records, and practices align with employment law and GDPR. Oversee compliance-related training, audits, and risk escalation, including payroll oversight.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
Lead recruitment campaigns, from role design to onboarding. Partner with hiring managers and training providers to attract talent and support learning and development initiatives.
Performance & Change Management:
Drive improvements through data-led HR practices. Support performance management, organisational change, and continuous improvement projects across the business.
Line Management & Mentorship:
Manage and develop the HR Coordinator, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching to support their professional growth and ensure excellent HR service delivery.
Person Specification
Essential Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of current UK employment legislation and its practical application
Awareness of inclusive recruitment and diversity practices
Understanding of key HR policies and procedures, including recruitment, performance management, absence, and disciplinary processes
Knowledge of data protection and GDPR principles as they relate to employee data
Awareness of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
Desirable Knowledge:
Experience of leading mediation
Experience of supporting organisational change
Familiarity with HR metrics and KPIs
Knowledge of employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives
Essential Skills/Attributes:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in written work and data entry
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Able to analyse HR data to produce accurate reports and insights
Confident in using digital tools and systems to streamline HR processes
Comfortable drafting policies, letters, and formal documentation using consistent tone and language
Essential Experience:
Experience in a generalist HR role supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, changes to employment, and offboarding
Experience managing HR administrative processes and maintaining accurate personnel records
Experience advising line managers or employees on routine HR queries, policies, and procedures
Demonstrated experience in prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting or leading employee relations cases (e.g. absence management, disciplinary/informal investigations)
Essential Qualifications:
Degree in relevant discipline.
Desirable Qualifications:
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
Circumstances:
Often exposed to emotionally challenging situations which may include delivering difficult or contentious messages.
