Job Summary


We are seeking an HR & Operations Assistant to support the Head of People in all things People and Operations. The ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic environment, is passionate about people and also willing to "role up their sleeves" to get things done, whether it is ensuring there is enough coffee or sign-posting employees to sources of support. This role supports all administration of the HR function, helping to streamline operations and ensuring that our HR software is up to date and works hard to support the team. The role also encompasses project management and administration of our B Corp certification, which is lead by our Head of Transformation and involves a 70% contribution from the HR Team.

Responsibilities



HR Support



Coordinate recruitment logistics including, but not limited to: Applicant management and initial screening Interview coordination and logistics Onboarding and set-up on HR systems Drafting and maintaining employee correspondence Maintenance of data on HR software and generation of reports for Head of People and team managers. Support training initiatives, doing research and maintaining the training tracker spreadsheet, including costs. Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives Supporting Leave administration and reporting. Be the first point of contact for employees on all things HR, escalating when appropriate.

Operations Support



Manage office supplies, facilities and vendor relationships (in conjunction with the Finance team) Work with the Social & Charity Committee to organise events and fundraising opportunities, working with our "charity of the year" Support social activities including ordering breakfast/lunch/evening food and drink supplies and helping to arrange these for employee consumption. Be the "go-to" person when things go wrong in the office and be prepared to be tenacious in getting things fixed. Liaise with all departments and external partners to ensure the smooth running of the office.

B Corp Project Management



Lead the administration and tracking of B Corp responsibilities and keep a timeline of when elements of the re-appraisal project need to be completed. Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to meet B Corp standards, chasing contributors in a timely manner. Maintain documentation and evidence for the B Corp Impact Assessment (BIA) Monitor progress against improvement goals and timelines. Stay up to date with B Lab updates and best practice and advise eaHHead of People in a timely manner.

Key Skills



Two plus years of HR, Administration or Operations experience, with a desire to be involved in all 3. Strong organisational skills with a desire to learn project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to communicate with employees at all levels. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, and understand which information needs to remain confidential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tools (e.g. Jira; YouTrack; HubSpot; Click-Up; Monday etc). Passion for sustainability, social impact and ethical business practices, in line with B Corp. Proficiency in HR software is desirable, but not essential. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and record management. Familiarity with social media management for recruitment purposes.

Qualifications & Experience



Minimum Level 5 qualifications e.g. HND, Level 5 NVQ or higher or you have completed an HR related apprenticeship Previous experience in HR would be desirable, but not essential Someone wishing to develop a career in HR is essential, with the potential to study for the CIPD This is a combined role, so experience of getting involved in "all things office" is necessary.

Pay: 25,207.00-30,000.00 per year
