Job Description

The HR Operations Manager will provide professional commercial HR/ER/IR advice, guidance and support to senior, operational and line management to meet business stream objectives in line with legislation and people best practice. They will be the key interface between the G4S Sizewell C (SZC) Team and the wider G4S SSUK business to ensure that we continue to attract, recruit, retain, train and develop the best possible people on the Sizewell C physical Security contract.

Key Responsibilities



Provide professional HR support, accurate and appropriate advice, including advice on absence, grievance, and disciplinary, to line management in relation to a full-time G4S workforce at Sizewell C Coach, advise, and guide managers for issue resolution, providing guidance and support on performance improvement Provide guidance, advice and support to the Security management team to identify recruitment requirements, activities and needs in support of the physical security contract at SZC and Associated Development Provide guidance on the delivery of the Employment & Skills Plan specific to G4S personnel at Sizewell C Oversee, direct and support recruitment, selection and onboarding of new personnel Oversee end-of-the-month payroll audit and oversee weekly and quarterly audits in accordance with the SZC Site Specific Agreements Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements Informing employees of their rights and entitlements and keeping them up to date on any changes that are made Assist in the updating and implementation of efficient Sizewell C specific HR policies and procedures, often championing change and business innovations Coordinate the implementation of Sizewell C site-specific workforce agreements and procedures Liaise with the external auditor to ensure compliance with Sizewell C site-specific agreements Coordinate the collection of accurate data and produce management information relating to employees, ensuring that any risks or business defects are monitored, actioned/referred as applicable in line with the ESP Provide support and advice to line managers to contribute to partnership working with GMB Trade Unions and staff representative groups as and when required. Supervision, coaching and management of a wider HR/ER team, ensuring all SLAs are met in line with business needs, implementing corrective initiatives where required Plan and coordinate all management development activities and talent management activities, including internal promotions to supervision level Support, input and contribution to business affairs, TUPE, mobilisations and ensuring the company's "best people" value is supported and maintained through business change Lead on benefit in kind payments, compliance and announcements The "go to" person for all G4S Sizewell C people issues

Skills and Competencies



Experience in a wide range of HR disciplines, including recruitment, training, ER, IR engagement Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with regard to liaising with staff, clients and other stakeholders on the project. Teamwork, empathy and maturity. Attention to detail Able to adapt and remain flexible in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment. Innovative and willing to share and challenge new ideas.
