Gopuff is seeking a dynamic HR + Payroll Advisor to join our People & Culture department. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, P&C (EU). You will support the HR umbrella plus the International payroll by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organisation development strategies in support of the business objectives. You will work with the Operations Leaders to improve processes, education and engagement/culture within the MFCs. You will work with the Finance and Accounting team to reconcile payroll payments with book records. The successful candidate should be customer-obsessed, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong relationship-building skills, with effective listening and communication skills.

You Will:

  • Be the primary poc for ER cases (Strong employment knowledge)-Meeting key stakeholders to discuss people challenges.
  • Providing guidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning.
  • Bringing people expertise and developing solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy.
  • Influencing and building relationships with people around the business.
  • Acting as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are-implementing new people approaches.
  • Questioning and challenging others to get to the root of people and business issues.
  • Coaching and providing feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency.
  • Support annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrolment.
  • Advise and support managers with employee relations issues including performance management, disciplinary, grievance and redundancy.
  • Support the provision of Payroll related reporting (e.g. weekly KPIs and manager reports) both scheduled and on request. Ensure the management of all types of leave eg holiday
  • Support statistics surveys received from ONS.
  • Experience of implementing and migrating to a new payroll system and HR system is desired.

You Have:

  • 3+ years experience in HR, with at least 2 years handling employee relations OR compensation issues.
  • 3+ years experience of international payroll, including UK in-house payroll experience and collaborating with the accounting team on reconciliations.
  • Experience running an international payroll. UK experience is a must. Other EU countries experience is desired.
  • Experience running UK payroll in house, including annual reporting such as P11D, PSA and RSU reporting-Support the processing of weekly payroll & monthly payroll, including new starters, leavers, timesheets, calculating pay, pension, processing AEO/DEA Garnishments, providing HMRC submissions and resolving issues by contacting HMRC.
  • Experience managing International Benefits & Compensation.
  • Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including employment law & compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with employees & workers.
  • Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues, including making recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues.
  • Customer Service attitude toward internal employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to set high personal goals and work independently.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
  • HR Certifications are a plus! (CIPD, Level 5).
  • Proficiency with Excel (for reporting) G-suite and database management.
