To make this vision a reality, we need an exceptional HR Project Manager to manage the HR and OD projects with the skill and expertise to deliver.
Your impact.
This isn't a regular HR role; it's a chance to help shape and influence the future workforce of a pioneering regional authority. You'll lead critical HR workstreams that ensure our organisation will be legally sound, strategically aligned, and ready to deliver for our communities.
Your work will include.

  • Designing the people approach: Working with and across the project team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that reflect our values and ambitions.
  • Building a workforce for the future: Recruitment and workforce planning to attract and retain top talent.
  • Creating positive partnerships: Ensure that we build an approach to employee relations with transparency and trust.
  • Ensuring compliance and confidence: Manage the people aspects of organisational transitions into the authority including TUPE processes, employment law adherence, and risk mitigation.
About you.
We are looking for an HR projects professional who is proactive and determined. Someone who combines their HR expertise with the ability to deliver complex projects that make a lasting impact. Our preferred HR Project Manager will bring:
  • Strong full lifecycle project management experience
  • Proven experience in HR for organisational transitions, mergers, and TUPE.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR frameworks.
  • Experience of building and management relationships with trade unions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
As we are a small programme team, you may be asked to utilise your project management experience to also manage non HR related projects.
Our desirable criteria includes; a CIPD Level 7 qualification, PRINCE2 certification or similar, and public sector experience.

Salary: The salary band for this role is 52,413 - 58,865. The starting salary is 52,413 with annual progression through the salary bands.
