Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented HR & QA Co-Ordinator to oversee the Human Resources and Quality Assurance functions of the business. Responsibilities include: developing, managing, and coordinating systems and processes to ensure compliance with employment law, ISO standards, and internal policies. The role ensures that the company maintains high standards in employee management, training, documentation, and accreditation, contributing to a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Responsibilities



Human Resources (HR):



Manage weekly and monthly HR issues, liaising with Employment Law advisors as needed. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for new starters. Administer weekly payroll, pensions, holiday checks, and resolve wage-related queries. Maintain and manage apprenticeship programs and employee reviews. Coordinate all aspects of training, including CITB and internal training programs. Manage security clearance applications and DBS checks. Maintain and update HR documentation including contracts, handbooks, and policies.

Quality Assurance (QA):



Conduct internal audits and maintain ISO and other accreditations. Complete PQQs and subcontractor audits to maintain compliance. Lead quarterly management and HSEQ meetings, tracking KPIs and improvement logs. Ensure company policies and procedures are up to date and accessible. Manage annual insurance renewals and grant applications. Keep notice boards current and relevant.

Administration & Document Control:



Review and amend policies and procedures across Admin, HR, and ISO domains annually. Manage the company website and ensure information is current. Oversee workflows and task management in Microsoft Teams. Administer internal training portals and mentoring systems.

IT & Communications:



Act as the first point of contact for IT issues and procurement. Oversee IT purchases, maintenance and manage landline and mobile phone contracts.

The ideal candidate should have:



Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law. Experience with ISO standards and quality management systems. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Sage Payroll, Microsoft Office, and Teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Experience in policy development. Experience supporting tender and submission processes. Familiarity with GDPR, COE, and HSEQ standards. Strong influencing and partnership-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload independently. Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrate motivational drive and embrace change. Visible commitment to Company values and continuous improvement.

Qualifications



GCSE's A-C Minimum 5 years experience in HR roles Experience in QA Roles Internal Auditor Training
Desireable

CIPD Level 5 Business Administration Level 3
As the business never stands still, your role will be required to evolve in line with changing business needs and so will be reviewed on a periodic basis. The above list of responsibilities is not exclusive or exhaustive and you will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the role.

The position is full time, 40 hours per week with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Immediate start is required. A full handover and training will be provided.



Salary is open to negotiation at interview stage based on experience.
