HR and Recruitment Advisor



Full Time / Contract 6 Months / Annual Salary circa 40,000 / Office Based / Stoke

Your main areas of focus will be Employee Relations case management, providing HR advice to Managers and employees.

This is a 6 month contract and is based at our Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent (ST4 4TW).

What's the role?



We are looking for someone with a strong HR generalist background covering the whole employee life cycle to bolster the team whilst the current incumbent works on a project.

What are some of the duties I'll be doing?



Manage ER casework with line managers, ensuring adherence to policy and employment legislation, and delivering fair and effective outcomes; maintain clear and organised records of all ER cases; Ensure the HR Operations Manager is kept fully up to date on all assigned ER cases, ensuring any potential risks are escalated promptly ; Provide friendly and professional advice to people managers on all people policies, processes, and HR best practice; Support managers with the recruitment of new hires

What are we looking for from you?



Essential:



CIPD level 5

Broad generalist HR experience across the full employee life cycle

Solid knowledge of employment law essentials (contracts, formal procedures, family friendly, termination)

Experience of managing and advising on employee relations case work including performance management, disciplinary, absence management, grievance and appeals

Confident dealing with managers and employees at different levels

Customer focused and professional

Highly organised self-starter with ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing workload requirements

Strong team working and collaboration

Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information. Good working knowledge of GDPR data protection legislation and records management principles.

Excellent Microsoft office and HRIS systems experience
