About the Role:



This dual-role position blends full-cycle recruitment with hands-on HR support. As a key member of a small, fast-paced HR team, you'll lead recruitment across the Group while contributing to core HR activities such as onboarding, employee relations, payroll input, policy updates, and reporting. You'll work closely with the HR Business Partner to ensure a seamless experience for new and existing employees, maintain compliance with employment law and internal processes, and keep the function responsive and people-focused.

We're looking for someone proactive, detail-driven, and a confident communicator ready to support candidates and employees at every level.

Key Responsibilities

:

Recruitment (c. 50%)



Lead end-to-end recruitment, from advertising and screening to offers and onboarding. Partner with hiring managers to meet resourcing needs and deliver quality hires on time. Manage job postings across internal and external platforms, including social media. Coordinate interviews and act as the main contact for candidates throughout the process. Maintain accurate recruitment data, trackers, and reports for audit and Board updates. Support employer branding and explore new attraction channels. Prepare new starter documentation (e.g. right to work, cost centre allocation) to support payroll and compliance.

HR Operations & Support (c. 50%)



Prepare contracts, offer letters, and onboarding materials; ensure accurate data entry across HR systems (e.g. Kelio, Activ, HSF, iHasco). Deliver HR inductions and coordinate medicals or onboarding requirements for new starters. Act as first point of contact for HR queries and manage the shared HR mailbox. Administer key HR processes including probation, absence, overpayments, and family leave. Manage leaver processes, including exit interviews, documentation, and payroll notifications. Provide accurate data for HR and Board reporting. Support line managers with employee relations, welfare meetings, and disciplinary processes. Coordinate flexible working requests, training records, and other HR or office admin tasks. Maintain up-to-date HR trackers to support compliance, audit readiness, and reporting.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

:

CIPD Level 3 Certificate in People Practice (or equivalent qualification/experience). Minimum 2 years' experience in both generalist HR and end-to-end recruitment (in-house or agency). Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR compliance, and payroll input processes. Proven ability to handle sensitive HR matters (e.g. absence, welfare, ER) with professionalism and discretion. Confident liaising with hiring managers, drafting job adverts, and managing recruitment through ATS/job boards. Knowledge of right-to-work checks, pre-employment compliance, and onboarding processes. Skilled in producing accurate HR data, reports, and audit documentation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage at all levels. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently while supporting wider team projects. Strong IT proficiency, including Excel, Microsoft Office, and HRIS/ATS systems.
