Yaffle Care is expanding, with two new therapeutic homes opening in the next 12 months - and we're looking for a dedicated HR & Recruitment Officer to join us on this exciting journey.
About the Role
This is a hybrid position offering variety, responsibility, and growth. You'll lead internal recruitment, manage HR processes, and support compliance across our Ofsted-regulated children's care homes. It's ideal for someone eager to develop a professional HR career within the social care sector.
Key Responsibilities:
? Oversee HR admin: contracts, onboarding, employee records, holidays, absence tracking
? First-line HR support for managers and staff
? Coordinate wellbeing initiatives and performance reviews
? Lead safer recruitment for all roles - from care staff to senior leadership
? Advertise vacancies, shortlist candidates, and manage interview processes
? Maintain compliance with Ofsted safer recruitment standards
? Audit staff files, DBS records, references, and safeguarding training
? Support preparation for inspections and external audits
? Champion inclusive recruitment and a positive candidate experience
What We're Looking For
? Experience in HR, recruitment, or compliance admin
? Strong organisational and people skills
? Confident with digital file management and Microsoft Office
? Professional, discreet, and proactive communicator
? Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and sector professionalism
Desirable (or Willingness to Develop):
CIPD Level 3 or above (or willingness to complete - fully funded)
Experience in Ofsted or CQC-regulated environments
Familiarity with HR or Applicant Tracking Systems
