JOB DESCRIPTION


As our HR Advisor based at our Sheffield manufacturing site you will be responsible for providing HR advisory services on policy and process, acting as first point of contact for queries to employees and managers. You will ideally have experience and knowledge of employee lifecycle events and the relevant employment legislation. This role is perfect for a HR Advisor with experience building strong working relationships, excellent communication skills and a love for prioritising and providing advice and guidance in collaboration with the wider regional HR team.





RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as first piont of contact for employees and managers on all HR related queries Advise on HR policies, processes and activities, benefit scheme entitlement Prepare and issue employee lifecycle administration Signpost queries and escalate to HR Business Partners, Employee Relations and other HR Centres of Expertise to ensure the appropriate HR support is provided for excelled customer experience. Support the execution of annual performance and compensation programmes Contribute to the development of people process policies Support the HR Employee Relations Manager with employee relations cases by providing advice to managers and employees on applicable HR policies, procedures and employment legislation (performance, attendance, disciplinary & grievance). Ensure data accuracy for HR metrics to be tracked on absence management, headcount, performance and volume of employee relations cases and report on identified trends in lifecycle events to country HR Business Partners. Support decision making processes in dealing with HR policy requests such as flexible working, parental leave, etc. Guide employees and managers to help them navigate through self-service functionality in HR systems and communication platforms (ServiceNow knowledge articles, HR Hub, HRIS self-service). Ensure HR communication platforms remain accurate and provide up to date information. Maintain knowledgeable on HR information available through self-service and promote usage across the organisation
Support HRSS colleagues with accurate and timely HR system data entry, offer letter approval, data corrections and maintenance of employee files on OnBase.



QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent through experience (preferably in an area of Human Resources) Working knowledge of HR regulatory framework, employment law & General Data Protection Regulations (working time, family friendly legislation, statutory entitlements etc.) Proven customer focused and relationship building ability. Solid understanding of HR policy frameworks and employee lifecycle events. Intermediate knowledgeable in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point

Preferred:

Experience in HR advisory or generalist role. Experience of operating in HR Shared Services or global business services environment. Experience of working in a global matrix organization. Knowledgeable in HR Systems e.g. Oracle & Ceridian applications
