We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of HR Specialist at the 100 Force Support Squadron , Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

What will be your primary role?



The primary purpose of this position is to provide Human Resources cost/resources/work year utilization advisory service and data analytics support to the Civilian Personnel Flight for all assigned organizations in the United Kingdom and Norway. The incumbent of this position will conduct advisory services and data analytics for human resources functional areas that typically involve long range, highly complex, and often sensitive topics. They will provide routine information and assistance to employees and supervisors in support of resource management programs. They will perform special projects as assigned as well as variety of Human Resources Benefits and Allowances (B&A) activities as well as Travel and Transportation functions associated with overseas employment of US citizens. They will also perform Componency Program processing actions for US Forces Civilian Component status actions in the UK. They will use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents, formats, etc as well as prepare written correspondence and other documentation.

Minimum requirement for this position is specialized experience in a similar role.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?



1. Knowledge of a wide range of HR concepts, laws, policies, practices, analytical, and diagnostic methods and techniques sufficient to solve a wide range of complex, interrelated HR problems and issues.

2. Knowledge to plan, schedule, and conduct projects and studies to evaluate, report, and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data tracking and collection methods.

3. Knowledge and skill to evaluate data resulting from applying statistical tools, models, methods, and techniques in order to determine the efficiency of systems output and provide suitable alternatives to improve functions.

4. Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques sufficient to interact in highly-charged, emotional situations which may arise due to delicate or highly contested case matters and determinations.

5. Skill in applying analytical and diagnostic techniques and quantitative and qualitative techniques sufficient to identify, evaluate, and recommend to management appropriate HR interventions to solve a variety of problems and issues.

6. Ability to communicate with others, both orally and in writing, sufficient to formulate and present clear and comprehensive arguments and advisory opinions and prepare training presentations.

7. Ability to maintain good working relationships and gain support for HR program goals.

8. Skill in developing strategies to provide training and development services for the most difficult training problems and persuasively recommend alternative solutions for them.

9. Knowledge of current HR database systems to query, retrieve, and analyze information in order to complete assignments.

What are the conditions of employment for this role?



1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.

2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.

3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period

5. You may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

6. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

7. May be required to travel away from normal duty station for TDY or training as directed by management, sometimes on short notice and including overnight stays, traveling by military or commercial aircraft or by any other designated means.

8. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.

9. Your hours of work will be 40 hours per week on a Fixed Schedule (Mon-Fri 0800-1630) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies
